What I love about weddings and events:
There are days in your life that you will look back on and think, “that was an amazing day!” Weddings and special events should always fall into that category. I love being a part of making those memories and helping my clients enjoy their special days. To me, there is nothing better than helping a celebration unfold flawlessly and seeing the smiles as people enjoy the event. Basically, I love everything about the planning and execution of events and I would be honored to help you plan yours!

My background:
I was a theater major and in college with a focus on Stage Management and Directing. In managing and directing theatrical productions, I learned a lot about working with people to create something meaningful.
After that, I wound up planning fundraisers at Virginia Stage Company in Norfolk, VA, before doing the same at Shakespeare Theatre Company in D.C. gaining experience and making connections in the events world.
When I decided that D.C. traffic was too much for me, I spent three years, managing all of the weddings and events at Oatlands Historic House and Gardens in Leesburg, VA and really found my calling.
Not one to settle down in one place for too long, my husband and I moved to Chincoteague Island, VA for a little of the island life. I still do a lot of weddings and events in the D.C.,Maryland, VA area, but I am based on the Eastern Shore and excited to start planning events in this area as well.

On a personal note:
Hiring someone to be a part of your special day can be intimidating. I want to make sure you are comfortable with me and trust me to help you through the process. So, here is a little about who I am.
I live with my husband, Jon, and our two amazing dogs, Jet and Maybe. I enjoy a good book, a good glass of wine, and binge watching TV shows with my husband in my spare time. I typically have a cup of coffee in my hand and my clothes are perpetually covered in dog hair, no matter how many lint rollers I go through.
If I am not working on a wedding, I am usually working on our house. Jon and I purchased the 100 year old house a few years ago and I have been restoring it to its former glory.
